What happens to your body at 30? February 12th, 2007
It sucks when mentally you still think that you have the body of a young man when really, you’re past the 30 mark and your joints, bones, and muscles just aren’t how they used to be. Today we played 3 hours of volleyball which isn’t too bad considering i’ve done 6 hour tournaments. But i can barely stand right now. I know tomorrow I’ll be paying for it too. I think I can safely write off my dreams of being a pro baller. *sniff*

Hey man,
Don’t take it too hard. It happens. I found that for me, it’s been more of a gradual thing. Over time, my body just can’t recover as quickly as before. But I look at the the team that I play for on Monday nights as inspiration. Some of the guys are approaching their mid 40s, and play with the energy that sometimes I’m lacking!
ya can’t believe those guys are still going at it. We’ll be seasoned veterans like those guys one day. We might not have the strength to jump but we’ll have wisdom and experience. haha.
